Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS)

We are certified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) to be in compliance with the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention (ISM Code). This certification proves our commitment to eliminate injuries, accidents and pollution.

Operations, Maintenance, and Crewing

The Seabulk Tanker SQMS affects all areas of our activities: routine operations, maintenance and crewing. This program requires us to "say what we do, do what we say and to document it."

Our SQMS is documented in several policy and procedural manuals. Among these are the Tanker Operations Manual, Tanker Safety Manual, Vessel Response Plan, Senior Officers Guide and the Safety and Quality Management Manual.

Some highlights of our SQMS are as follows:

Operations
  • Vessel maintenance
  • Annual Internal Audits in addition to those required by ABS.
  • New Hire Orientation
  • Marine Personnel Evaluations and Training
  • Accident and Near Miss Reporting and investigations that include root cause analysis
Safety

This commitment to safety and environmental protection occurs without any additional cost to our customers. We are reducing our overhead expenses as we reduce our losses.
